In this blog I’ll share my one-day solo journey experience and guide you on how to plan your one day itinerary to this beautiful hidden gem of himachal. Narkanda is a must visit destination and my personal experience made this trip truly unique.
Early Morning Departure to Narkanda
I woke up at 5 Am on an August morrning,my heart beating with aniticaption for the journey ahead. Then i had a quick, light breakfast before setting off. I started my Journey from Chandigarh, passing through the beautiful routes of Solan and Shimla, enjoying the fresh mountain air as i made my way towards Narkanda- the hidden gem in Himachal Pradesh. As the Sun rose and its golden rays began to light up the landscape, i felt a deep sense of calmness. The 62 kilometers drive from Shimla was incredible, and it felt like i was living each moment of life fully.
The Journey from Chandigarh to Narkanda took around 6 hours with circling roads leading me through lush green valleys, picturesque villages, and breathtaking scenery. I felt increasingly motivated as i navigated the route.
Reaching My First Beautiful Destination- Tani Jubbar Lake Narkanda
At 11 Am i reached my first spot which was Tanni Jubbar lake. It was a peaceful and offbeat location with a calm body of fresh water completely surrounded by lush greenery and tall trees. Tanni Jubbar lake is a hidden Gem of Narkanda, with very little public awareness and tourist activity, making it the ideal destination for those seeking peace and serenity.
I settled by the lakeside to relax and enjoy the quite ambience. I could hear the sound of lush green trees and the gentle water lapping against the shore. It was one of those moments when you realise the true meaning of life and why it’s important to live every moment to the fullest. I took out my camera and began capturing the incredible beauty of Tanni Jubbar lake. I felt overwhelmed as i walked along the lake’s shore. This Beautiful hidden gem of Narkanda stole my heart, and i completely fell in love with lake.
The Journey Towards the Next location Hatu Peak
After soaking in the serenity of Tani Jubbar Lake I started my bike and headed toward my next destination, Hatu Peak. It is the highest point in Narkanda offering a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains and beautiful valley. As i ascended to higher altitudes, the views along the way became more and more breathtaking. When i reached the top at the elevtion of 11,152 feet the view was indescribable. It’s difficult to put into words, but the hidden charm of Narkanda truly shines through from up here.
A Pleasent Drive Back Home
After spending 2 hours at the summit i began my journey back to Chandigarh, realizing that I eventually had to return home. By around 4 PM, i was back on the road. As the sun began to set, a magical glow spread over the valleys and pine forests. The road back felt scenic and awe inspiring.
At around 10 Pm, I arrived back home, exhausted but satisfied. This single day trip to Narkanda, far removed from the buzz of daily life, brought a deep sense of fulfillment that comes from exploring hidden, unexplored locations.
